Q: If humans act as an antenna to receive information from outside ourselves, how do we know what thoughts are our own? Where does our free will come into play?
“To be clear, ALL thoughts arise from outside yourself. None of your thoughts ‘belong’ to you — you did not create them from nothing. “
Q: So where do they come from?
“Thoughts belong to the Universal Consciousness, of which you are one facet. So in a sense they are only yours in so far as you are also the Universal Consciousness. Think of each being as a receiver who also magnifies and repeats certain energies.
All thoughts are this energy. There are no good thoughts or bad thoughts. Thinking so is caused by judgment, the illusion of believing that you or anything is separate from the Universal Being. There are only higher energy vibrations and lower vibrations, not good or bad. Your choice to tune into and magnify or repeat certain ones is where free will enters the picture.
These energies that direct your thoughts come from all around you — the web or network of all other beings and the energies that they are magnifying and repeating. There is a collective effect that can make commonly held beliefs and ideas seem so acceptable. But being common or widespread has nothing to do with their energetic or vibrational level.”
Q: So how do we protect ourselves from these low vibrational ideas?
“Requiring protection or desiring to ‘shield’ yourself is a judgment, grounded in separation. You do not block or eliminate lower energies, you simply allow them to flow past without engaging them, for that is how ideas grow stronger. Instead, focus your awareness on their opposites: high vibrational concepts.
All energies, both high and low vibration, develops momentum and grows stronger with repetition by more beings. But this never changes its vibrational level. It only makes it more widespread. Stop repeating it and it grows weaker.”
Q: So does that mean that the lower energies, concepts, and beliefs so prevalent today will crowd out and eclipse the higher ones?
“No, it is not a one-to-one relationship, like one thought equals one vote. The higher the vibration, the more sustaining power and reach it has. That is why the higher energies are not affected by space and time, but lower energies are more local and fleeting. This is unchanging. The lower vibrations always exist and will variously ebb and flow, but the higher energies persist.
One being, engaging with consistently higher vibrations, can offset many thousand focusing on the lower vibrations. Be careful not to mistake this as a battle of ‘good vs. evil.’ That too is judgment and separation. All is one.
Your role, every being’s role, is to focus their attention and devote themselves to the energies and vibrations they wish to see grow. That is where free will comes into play.”
